72nd Annual Student Speakers Contest

WELCOME TO THE STUDENT SPEAKERS CONTEST 2008-2009

This year the Lions of Multiple District 4 of California are proud to sponsor our 72nd Student Speaker Contest.

Our challenging topic for this years contest is:

“Water – Will California be left high and dry?”

Welcome to Multiple District 4’s annual Student Speakers contest.  This year we celebrate the 72nd anniversary of this outstanding program.  Over those years, hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarship money have been awarded to the students involved.

The Lions, Lionesses, and Leos of California are justifiably proud of the Student Speakers program.  Besides the potential monetary rewards, we are convinced that the contest experiences build confidence, self-esteem, and pride in the participants.  Indeed, many of the winners have gone on to distinguished careers in public and private occupations.

Once again this year, best wishes to all participants for a positive, enriching experience in this prestigious event.

William Dunlevy, Council Chair
2008-2009 Council of Governors
Multiple District Four
